Karen came to yoga some 10 years ago after finding an old yoga book as a teenager. It was some years later that she embarked upon The Yoga Teacher Training with Yoga Campus in 2

Karen came to yoga some 10 years ago after finding an old yoga book as a teenager. It was some years later that she embarked upon The Yoga Teacher Training with Yoga Campus in 2016. 

She has been inspired and tenderly guided on the start of her journey by Charlene McCauley who without her guidance and caring space would not have thought teaching was a possibility.

 

Manjunaga her first teacher when moving to Manchester weaved his poetry, readings and album covered t-shirts into a beautiful yin environment.

Rod Stryker of ParaYoga came across the pond from the States to deliver an intensive week long Yoga Nidra back in 2017. This  forms a beautiful bedrock of yogic sleep weaved within the  class enabling you to destress, realign and reconnect to your sense of Being,

 A Sankalpa or  hearts intention is set before allowing the subconscious mind

Donna Fahri 'Befriending the body' intensive was another special training opportunity which remains  the backbone to Karen's teachings, which was complemented by her teachings from Lisa Petersen, a Somatic innovator and yoga teacher in becoming a Somatic exercise coach. 


Both Senior Yoga Teachers, Jane Craggs and Jill Amison kept it real during her teacher training and beyond.

Completing The Yoga and Mindfulness for Teens was an immeasurable pleasure  with Charlotta Martinus founder of Teenyoga charity.

Charlotte Watts and Leah Barnett were an added benefit to Karen's training interests around Stress and Burnout, this was also underpinned with a weekend workshop for Trauma for Yoga teachers with Suzi Wrenshaw. 


Modern Mindfulness was a course Karen explored with depths and interests from her days in Buddhism when she completed a 100 hour Yoga Alliance accredited course with Mick Timpson.
